What an extraordinary achievement! On Monday 25 August, 84 St Peter’s College students from Years 4 to 10 joined 450 competitors at the State RoboCup Competition—and our boys absolutely excelled. SPSC entered an impressive 39 teams across multiple divisions:
• 10 teams in Riley Rover Rescue Line
• 15 teams in Primary Rescue Line
• 5 teams in Secondary Rescue Line
• 2 teams in Open Rescue Line
• 7 SEA program teams in the Sumo Competition
Each year we wonder if it’s possible to surpass our previous achievements—yet once again, our teams exceeded all expectations with truly remarkable results:
- Secured 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in Riley Rover, Primary, and Secondary divisions
- Claimed 1st and 3rd place in the highly competitive Open division
- Finished with 6 Riley Rover teams in the top 10, 11 of our Primary teams in the top 11, and demonstrated excellence with all 5 Secondary teams finishing in the top 5.
Our talented teams are now fine-tuning their code and refining their robot construction as they prepare for the National Competition in Canberra this October. With results like these, St Peter’s College is positioned to make a significant impact on the national stage.
