We are incredibly proud to announce that two of our Year 12 students, Archie Young and Alex Piscioneri, were nominated for Student Citizenship Awards by the South Australian Branch of the Order of Australia Association.

Both students were selected for their exceptional commitment to leadership, community service, and making a difference. Archie, Captain of MacDermott House, is known for his selflessness, compassion, and tireless service both at school and within the wider community. He volunteers with Puddle Jumpers, an organisation supporting vulnerable children and young mothers, and has contributed to sport, the arts, and numerous charitable initiatives. Learn more about Archie’s Service Learning Journey here.

Alex, an integral part of our School Leadership Team and House Prefect for Farr House, co-founded the Service Society and has contributed over 175 volunteer hours. His leadership in the Historical Society and work with organisations like Anglicare and the Smith Family demonstrates his deep care for others and his dedication to service.

Back in September, Archie and Alex were invited, together with their parents, to a special morning tea with Mr Tim Browning where they were informed of their nominations.

• Archie was awarded a Student Citizenship Award with Distinction, which he received at a Ceremony at Government House on Monday 25 November.
• Alex received a Highly Commended Certificate and medallion for his exceptional contributions.

We couldn’t be prouder of these two young men. Their commitment to making a positive impact is inspiring, and we’re excited to see all they will continue to achieve.
