We congratulate Sam George (Year 10 Beyond the Basics Photography) and Ethan Lee (Year 7 – Young Archies Portraiture Group) for having their portraiture artworks selected for the 13th Prospect Portrait Prize. Sam captured a monochromatic photographic portrait of his friend Eshaan Goyal, and Ethan has painted a superb portrait of his friend Nathan Wai.
Newmarch Gallery, where the Prospect Portrait Prize is held, selected works that demonstrate innovative approaches to portraiture, as well as uniqueness of interpretation. This competition was an open callout, meaning both Sam and Ethan have been selected on merit, and they will exhibit alongside nationally acclaimed Artists including Sophie Hann and Datsun Tran.
