Climate Justice Volunteer
The Australian Youth Climate Coalition (AYCC) is Australia’s largest youth-run organisation, our mission is to build a movement of young people leading solutions to the climate crisis.
AYCC is made up of a network of volunteer-led groups all over the country.

If you’re a young person who cares about fighting for a safe climate, you can get involved in your local community, at your school or online as part of a national network of volunteers.

There are many different ways to volunteer, and volunteering is flexible to your schedule. Some AYCC volunteers help out at events occasionally, others volunteer for up to 2 days per week, leading our campaign actions and programs. The first step is to sign up and we’ll connect you with an AYCC group or team.

Spontaneous Emergency & Recovery Volunteer
When preparing for, and after a disaster is over, volunteers may be required to assist with recovery. There are a variety of things you may be asked to do as a spontaneous volunteer.

In the short-term volunteers may help with clean up, fencing, transport, sorting goods, administration or tasks that are requiring specialist skills. Of course, Emergency Recovery can last months or years and volunteers may be needed in the long term to assist with a variety of tasks such as building and environment restoration activities or supporting community service organisations experiencing an increase in demand for services.
