In Week 7 of Term 3, a team of five boys from Year 9 competed in the state finals of Subs in Schools. Subs in Schools is a National STEM competition, which also incorporates aspects of enterprise management and marketing. The students first took part in the practical competition, held here in the Burchnall Sports Centre pool and achieved a perfect score for their ROV’s completion of underwater remote tasks. From there, the competition moved to the Royal Adelaide Show, where the team presented their work at a trade display they designed and built. They also presented their work to a panel of industry professionals and military officers.

The boys were outstanding while representing the School and were able to separate themselves from their competition across all areas, receiving multiple awards and ultimately taking the title of 2024 Champions.

Well done to Sambhav Tegginamat, Xavier Bonython, Sam Humble, Hanaan Hasan and Angus Ireland.
