23 October 2025
During the second week of the recent term break, St Peter’s College fielded fourteen teams in the 2025 National RoboCup Competition, four more than in the previous year. All teams competed in the Line Rescue division of the competition: four in Riley Rover, four in Primary, four in Secondary and two in the Open category.
With over 158 teams and close to 400 students our teams did exceptionally well, with most finishing in the top 20 of each section. Team Bernie the Bee (Sebastian Zarei and Harold Dai, Year 6) qualified for the finals and missed out on a place by a mere 80 points. Team Bye (Jayden Chen, William Guo and Vihaan Pabbathi, Year 6), who finished the nine preliminary rounds with a perfect score (1135 points), continued to perform strongly and won the Riley Rover section. Finally, team Troubles (Bryan Wu and Angas Hollington, Year 8) missed out on a place in the Open finals by just 30 points.
I was extremely proud of all our teams who participated and showed the character strengths of being strong and lovely and of good report.
