Sport is up and running for Term 1, please note updates that may impact some boys.

Colours and Symbols Awards
Colours and Symbols have changed for 2018 with an emphasis for Colours on sporting excellence. Symbols will be for boys who are solid contributors at the First team level, while Colours will be for boys who have achieved at a higher level. It is the intention for the Colours awards to be presented to those boys excelling in their sports, similar to an academic achievement. The Colours and Symbols criteria for sport are listed in the Sports Zone within the Sports wikis.

Heat Policy
The heat policy has been used several times this term which has led to cancelling some practices and games. If you would like to find out more about the policy please visit the Sports Zone section in Keystone. It is important to note that each Sport has its own nuances, so please read the section that relates to your son’s sport.

Tennis
Wednesday 7 March will be the final of the the McMichael Cup (Open Singles Champion of the School), which will be played on the Williams Sports Field (Tennis Courts) at 4pm. Please support the finalists in what will be a high-quality match. Last year David A won the title, but 2018 will see last year’s finalist, Callum G or one of our other the young guns take out the title.

Last year Noah K won the Junior Tennis championship, the Turnbull Cup presented by Director of Tennis, Todd Perry.

Rowing
Our rowers have been performing well at the early regattas at West Lakes this term. This comes on the back of some hard work in the gym and the camps that were held a month ago at Finniss. The intercol competition will begin with the Head of the River on Saturday 17 March with badminton, cricket, swimming, tennis and water polo intercols being held during the following week.
