It was “all systems go” for the Termin-trators at 8am on Saturday 11 September as they competed in the National Titration Competition finals. After a carb-fuelled pre-game pasta night, the boys were ready to display their flexible fingers and quads of steel at the UniSA Hetzel Labs. Competing against 20 other schools, the boys showed poise, maturity, and excellent teamwork during their three-hour experiment. Captain Sachin Ravindran was the calculation king, mole checker Rushan Khurram critically inspected all solutions, and Thomas Byun proved to be precision perfect in his final results. After some tumultuous times – the exaggerated inverting, the moving meniscus, the 50 shades of pink – the boys were successful in their work and came home with Ag-108 (silver)! I would like to sincerely thank Sachin, Rushan, and Thomas for their persistence, diligence, and enthusiasm throughout the entire competition. Well done, gentlemen – your passion for Chemistry is exemplary.
