On Sunday 6 May approximately 200 people from the St Peter’s College and Seymour College communities came together to participate in a fundraising event to support CanTeen and the Kids with Cancer Foundation. During Term 1 both schools sold bandanas to promote the event and to initiate the conversations with people in the wider community about these great organisations and how they help so many people affected by cancer.

On Sunday, the boys, girls and their families and friends ventured down to the River Torrens and chose to ride their bikes, run or scooter a 10km or a 5km course. Others chose to stay in the school grounds and did the 2km course. The ride, run or roll event was a great success with many generous donations. Thank you to Aerotech Helicopters for donating a helicopter flight for a CanTeen family and as a raffle prize. A St Peter’s College boy and a Seymour College girl, together with a parent enjoyed an exciting scenic flight over Adelaide.

Thank you to those people who supported the event. Your generosity is much appreciated and gives hope to those affected by the devastating disease, cancer.
