The coffee machine in the Junior School Function Space has been waiting for someone to take the reins this year.
36 boys in Year 6 have put their hands up to man the machine and run the café which has been named ‘The Barista Boys’ (as voted by the students). All of the boys have been trained in pouring the perfect shot and mastering the milk wand.
The Barista Boys has been running for the past three weeks on Thursday and Friday mornings, and the response from parents and staff has been incredible!
Due to the immense amount of interest, there are five rotating shifts; working the machine, taking orders, processing payments and delivering coffee to classroom teachers. The Barista Boys will be providing coffee for major Junior School events, such as the Friends of Saints coffee morning.
