05 March 2026
This Holy Week (March 29 – April 5) the Junior School are placing the Prayer Tree in the centre of the foyer as you enter Bickersteth. We encourage students and families to take a moment to reflect and pray.
You can tie to it any prayer, thought or intention that you wish to give to God. It might be about something you are worried about, or something in the news that is weighing you down. It might be a prayer of gratitude.
Holy Week is a time of preparation for Jesus suffering, death and rising again. Through the story of the Passion, we are reassured that despite the darkness, there is light and hope for us all in Jesus’ resurrection. Love has conquered death.
These prayers will be collected and prayed again by members of the chaplaincy team at the end of Holy Week.
May God’s peace be with you,
Anna Zweck
School Chaplain
