The Association of Independent Schools of South Australia (AISSA) advised St Peter’s College in September that a former third-party photography provider of the School inadvertently published images of students and staff from multiple schools on their website.
AISSA requested the organisation take immediate action to permanently delete these images from their site and remove public access to the images via search engines. The Office of the Australian Information Commission has also been notified.
Three images were made public and were taken during the period 2012 to 2017 and some included names of both past and present students and staff. St Peter’s College has been working with AISSA to ensure this situation is rectified swiftly and to make certain the necessary measures are taken to avoid this happening in the future.
We wish to reassure you that the privacy and safety of students, staff and members of our community is paramount. At the beginning of 2020, the School engaged a new photographer provider and the School now owns the IP of all images. For more information, please view the School’s Privacy Policy and Procedure.
Please do not hesitate to contact the School directly should you have any queries.
