Next year, current Year 11 students will begin their final year of school. This can be a stressful and anxious time for both students and parents. St Peter’s College is committed to working in partnership with parents to educate, support and mentor the boys in our care, and I warmly invite Year 11 parents to a session to talk about how your son can thrive in Year 12.

Event details:
Date: Wednesday 14 October
Time: 7.00 pm – 8.00 pm
Location: Big School Room
RSVP: Please click here to confirm your attendance

A Zoom webinar will be made available for all boarding parents to join the session. Ray Pearson, Director of Boarding, International and Indigenous Programs will forward the link to all boarding parents closer to the date.

The aim of the hour-long session is to:

  • Outline the expectations of Year 12 from a student and parent perspective and ensure a partnership between the School and home.
  • Outline expectations of academic culture and independent study on campus.
  • Explain how boys and parents can seek help and support in their final year.
  • Acknowledge the emotions both boys and parents feel during Year 12 and the ways in which this is acknowledged, shared and celebrated.

Senior staff will also be in attendance to answer questions from parents. Boarding parents will have the ability to ask questions through the Zoom webinar Q&A functionality. Please note this event is not intended for students.

I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday 14 October.

Yours sincerely

Tim Browning
Headmaster
