With Artificial Intelligence becoming entrenched in almost every aspect of life, it is increasingly important for young people to develop the critical thinking skills needed to navigate a world shaped by AI-generated content, recommendations and interactions.
Parents are invited to attend an upcoming information session exploring the impact of AI on young people, learning and the digital world more broadly.
The session will be presented in two parts. The first will be a live stream of a webinar, hosted by the Cyber Safety Project. This session will unpack what AI is, why it matters, and how families can help children and young people to build the critical thinking skills needed to identify misinformation, spot manipulated or AI-generated content, and engage confidently and thoughtfully online.
After the webinar concludes, there will be a short opportunity for attendees to hear about how schools are responding to the influence of AI on learning and assessment practices. The session will touch on how AI can be both used and misused to support or undermine learning.
For families who cannot attend, the Cyber Safety Project webinar can be accessed live to view from home. By registering, you will be able to access the recording at a later date should you be unable to join on the evening.
