The 35th Annual General Meeting of the St Peter’s College Foundation was held on Wednesday 29 July and was very well attended by members. It was a tremendous opportunity to reflect on the enormous contributions of Foundation members over the past 12 months and the impact of these gifts in sustaining St Peter’s College for future generations.

St Peter’s College is fortunate to have such a dedicated, passionate and engaged community and I look forward to playing my part in further developing and fostering a culture of philanthropy as President of the Foundation.

I extend a very warm welcome to Andrew Thomas (WDK 1959), James Sarah (DAC 1982) and Tim Neill (YNG 1983) who were elected to the Board at the AGM. Their depth of knowledge, expertise and Board experience will be a huge asset to the Board. More information about the Foundation and Board can be viewed here.

I would also like to acknowledge the contributions of Board members Nick Grieve (YNG 1991), Glenn Rappensberg and David Stock (FRR 1993) who retired at the AGM. Nick joined the Board in 2013 and was appointed President in 2017. I thank him for his hard work and for leaving the Foundation in such a strong position. Thank you to Glenn for his service to the Board over 14 years, 10 as Vice President. Dave’s contribution to the General Excellence Scholarship program will always be remembered and the life-changing opportunities this has provided for students so far. I thank him for helping to establish this program at St Peter’s College.

On behalf of the St Peter’s College Foundation, I also extend my sincere congratulations to both Ian Lloyd (WDK 1958) and the family of Dr RHC Rischbieth (MAC 1944) for being awarded prestigious Foundation Medals for outstanding and meritorious service to the St Peter’s College Foundation.

Over the past few months there has been much interest and excitement in the Big Quad redevelopment. I look forward to updating you on the progress of this project in the months ahead. Scholarship opportunities also remain a key priority. I thank those that have contributed to this area and at the same time helped provide opportunities for students for whom a St Peter’s College education would otherwise be out of reach.
