Mission Guild kicked off the year with a New Members Cocktail function attended by a large number of new and current members. The Patron and Headmaster, Mr Tim Browning, and the Mission Guild President, Gina Marchetti, outlined the Guild’s vision for the year; including the Social Enterprise Strategy, fundraising initiatives and helping the students with their service learning. Outstanding culinary prowess was shown by Mr Browning who made a pavlova to mark the occasion. We are reliably informed it is his specialty.
At the first meeting for the year, we welcomed 10 new members to the Mission Guild. Anyone thinking of joining in the future is more than welcome to attend one of our upcoming meetings. Please contact Beverley McDonald on 0408 884 701 for more information regarding dates of meetings.
St Peter’s College will offer car parking during WOMAD for festival patrons as a fundraising activity to support the beginning of our Social Enterprise strategy. The Mission Guild will also be selling drinks at the Hackney Road carpark. Al funds raised will go to charity so please support this initiative.
At Community Day on Saturday 6 April, the Mission Guild will have a coffee van and cake stall in the morning. Look for balloons and our banners to purchase a coffee and some home cooked goodies.
