During Week 4, the Year 4 classes were involved in a visit from Warrawong 2U, a program providing schools with the opportunity to learn about the animals from the Warrawong Sanctuary.
The program is a part of the biological sciences unit. The boys thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to observe and interact with a variety of animals. These animals included a swamp wallaby, long-nosed potoroo, Major Mitchell cockatoo and numerous pythons. Wildlife presenter Luke and his volunteers shared their knowledge of each of the animals.
The Year 4 boys enjoyed this learning immensely and we look forward to the Warrawong Sanctuary opening up again.
