The vision of St Peter’s College is to be an exceptional community of learning. Importantly this vision considers our whole community as learners. Our Wellbeing framework at St Peter’s College is a key aspect of this learning experience. St Peter’s College is a Visible WellbeingTM school and we use this to guide our explicit wellbeing lessons and support in the Junior School. Visible Wellbeing focuses on six pathways or SEARCH pathways; strengths, emotional management, attention and awareness, relationships, coping and habits and goals.

It was an absolute pleasure to present about the Zones of Regulations with Kirsty Jackman, one of our School Psychologists, to parents last week. The  Zones of Regulation is a program to provide support to our students to be able to identify their emotions, identify the emotions of others and also find strategies to manage these emotions. We want the students to recognise that we all experience varied emotions, be able to talk to others about their emotions and know where to get support when it is needed.

Following this session we were asked to share our presentation with parents and caregivers who were either not able to attend or wanted to share this information further. Please find a link here to the presentation. If you have any questions or comments, or would like to discuss this program further, please contact me.
