After a delay due to bad weather in Term 2, it was fantastic to finally see our boys from Years 3 to 6 competing for their Houses at the Winter House Games. The students proudly represented their House in either Basketball, Hockey, Football or Soccer.

As is the tradition, the boys were placed in the sport that they represent SPSC in during the Winter Sports season. As some Houses have different numbers of players in each sport, some boys were asked to fill in for a different sport. These boys are to be commended for doing so. All Year 3 boys were introduced to their first Winter House Games by playing soccer.

The boys are to be congratulated for their efforts throughout the day. Despite the fact the competition was fierce, with House pride on the line, high levels of sportsmanship was on display throughout the day.

The overall results across all of the sports was very close. Brooks House won both the Basketball and Hockey and Clayton-Dyer took out both the Football and the Soccer.

I would like to thank the Junior School staff for their assistance with supervising the games. I would also like to thank the Senior School boys who came out and umpired matches. It means a lot to the Junior School boys to have some of our School leaders give up their time. These boys did an outstanding job and without their assistance the day wouldn’t be able to run like it did.
