Term 3, Week 5 saw the completion of the majority of winter sport, the annual Winter Intercol competition with our friends from Prince Alfred College marking an end to winter sport for most boys. Unseasonably warm weather greeted the legions of blue and white who made the trip to Kent Town to compete across nine different sports and activities. The fixtures included everything from the 152nd Football Intercol to the inaugural Squash Intercol, featuring 40 Senior School and 10 Junior School contests.  More than 500 Senior School students and 140 Junior School boys thrilled the crowds with a high standard of play and an even higher standard of sportsmanship.  Congratulations to all our boys who competed in Basketball, Chess, Debating, Football, Hockey, Rugby, Soccer, Squash and Table Tennis.

The competitors were heartily supported by members of our music program with drums and brass instruments supporting the student chants that encouraged those competing to perform at their best. A thank you to all the boys that gave up their time to support those competing and for the SPSC families who were present to enjoy this festival of sport.

Athletics trials are now underway, before our focus on summer sport begins and we all prepare for an exciting Term 4 of sport!
