Established in 2023, the Women and Leadership Professional Learning Community (PLC) provides a dedicated space for women at all stages of leadership to connect, learn, and grow. Meeting once per term, this initiative is designed to:

· Support women at all leadership levels, including aspiring leaders.
· Utilise research-based methodologies to enhance leadership practices.
· Build the capacity of women to manage and lead change in schools.
· Collaborate with other leaders to drive meaningful change.
· Advance gender equality in school leadership.

By delivering targeted professional development for current and emerging women leaders, the program equips participants with the skills and behaviours essential for successful leadership. Our goal is to develop confident, capable female leaders with the potential for long-term career advancement.

Since its inception, over 60 staff members—from both teaching and non-teaching roles across both campuses—have participated in at least one workshop.

At our most recent session last week, we explored the conditions necessary for innovation in schools, identifying both barriers and enablers to progress. These discussions are crucial in shaping strategies that empower women to lead with confidence and drive meaningful change in education.

We look forward to continuing this journey, strengthening our network, and supporting the next generation of women leaders.
