It is not an easy feat for an artist to have their work accepted for display in an exhibition, so it is with great pride that I congratulate Dougal Grieve, Max Au, Jackson Walker, Axel Ling and Matthew Tran. In late 2023, these students each produced a beautiful coiled vase as part of their Year 10 Pottery course with Mrs Betty-ann Heim.
Being of such a high standard, the work was entered into a competition for display at the Norwood Townhall, and in early December, the work was accepted! These large vases, which are inspired by ceramicist Gerry Wedd and address the theme of identity, will remain on display in the Norwood Townhall foyer during February. I warmly invite the SPSC community to go along to view these fabulous pieces.
