On Monday 21 September, the Year 12 EAL class had their Celebration Dinner at the Maid Hotel. They celebrated the end of the year by enjoying a range of classic Australian dishes in a relaxed atmosphere. It was a pleasure to take some time off from preparing for upcoming examinations and assignments to have an enjoyable dinner and to reflect on their achievements throughout the year.
On Wednesday 23 September, the Year 11 EAL class had their Big Day Out. The boys completed a scavenger hunt in the Botanic Gardens and explored the Museum of Economic Botany before moving to the Art Gallery to find examples of controversial artwork. The boys also attended the current Monet to Matisse exhibition. After a German-inspired lunch at Schnithouse, the boys then enjoyed a relaxing afternoon at the cinema watching Studio Ghibli’s ‘From Up on Poppy Hill’. Overall it was a highly enjoyable day.
