Term 2 has once again been a busy term the Junior Primary boys studying French.

Our language topic has been transport. We have been learning some new vocabulary and phrases as well as about the métro, TGV, concorde, Michelin Man and Bibendum. We have also continued to learn more about Paris, its attractions and monuments.

We are learning our set poems for the SAFTA Poetry Competition as well as some songs in readiness for our Bastille Day celebrations which will be held at the end of this term.

We were very fortunate to have French folk dancing teacher, Laurel de Vietri, come and work with the Year 2 classes during Week 5. The boys and I learnt some new dances that were highly energetic,  and most enjoyable with French show and tell continuing to be very popular.
