On Thursday 15 May, the Year 3 cohort accompanied by staff and parents, ventured to the Adelaide Central Market.

In the lead-up to the day, the boys worked collaboratively in groups to create recipes inspired by a specific culture. From Turkish and Greek cuisine to South African and Vietnamese delights, the variety of dishes reflected the rich diversity of global food traditions.

During their visit, the boys immersed themselves in the bustling market atmosphere, engaging with stallholders and soaking up the lively environment. With a set budget, they were responsible for sourcing the ingredients for their chosen recipes, and of course, enjoyed the opportunity to sample a cultural treat along the way. The following day, the boys together with some parents worked enthusiastically to create their incredible dishes. It was wonderful to witness the students working collaboratively, showing initiative, creativity, and pride in their cultural creations.

A heartfelt thank you to all the parents who generously gave their time and energy both at the Market and during our cooking session. Your support made this enriching experience possible and we are truly grateful.
