A late-morning, specially prepared German breakfast was enjoyed by the Year 7 German classes in Week 5. The breakfast was held in style, on a perfect sunny day, on the Pentreath Balcony overlooking the back ovals. Waffles, jam, cream and apple sauce were on the menu for the Year 7 breakfast, followed by hot chocolate and fresh fruit. The students had to ask for what they wanted using phrases in German rehearsed during their lessons and at homework time. To their credit, they all managed to use accurate pronunciation when ordering. The students were able to enrich their understanding of German food and culture, as they continue their learning of the language.
