During Term 2, the Year 9 Geography students embarked on a field trip to the Adelaide Hills, designed to investigate the role of tourism within a section of the Adelaide Hills. On the main streets of Hahndorf, Stirling and Mt Barker we collected data on the number of tourist shops, restaurants, coffee shops, pubs and take-away restaurants.

At our first stop in Hahndorf, the students enjoyed walking along the beautiful main street, taking photos and learning about the history of the town. Many students took slight detours into some of the old-fashioned lolly shops nestled on the main street.

From Hahndorf we travelled to Stirling and then on to Mt Barker for lunch and to collect more data. After lunch the students boarded the bus back to Saints to collate the data and report their findings.
