The annual Junior School Swimming Carnival for the boys in Years 3 to 6 was held on Wednesday of Week 5 in the Burchnall Sports Centre pool. As in previous years, the carnival was split into two sections with the boys from Years 3 and 4 competing in the first section and the boys from Years 5 and 6 competing after lunch until the end of the school day.

Each event was a competitive exhibition of swimming with all boys striving to do the best for their House to maximise their points.

The Junior School Swimming Carnival is the culmination of all the hard work the boys had done during their swimming lessons in the previous weeks. All students are to be congratulated on their efforts in the pool and for the support that they showed each other.

Although everyone tried their best, there can only be one winning House and for the third year in a row Stokes-Ware was the winner.

I would like to thank all staff for their support and willingness to help throughout the day. I would also like to thank Bernie Juckers and his team in the Sports Centre for their help in setting up and ensuring that we had everything that we needed for a successful day.
