It has been a tremendous end to what has been a positive and productive term. Year 4 Camp, Summer House Games, Swimming Carnivals, Assemblies, the screening of Embrace Kids and a Last Supper Play are but a few examples of what we have accomplished in the past couple of weeks. I thank my colleagues for enabling such engaging learning opportunities for our students.
Well done to all Year 3 to 6 students who competed in the Summer House Games last week. It was wonderful to see these students competing in Volleyball, Tennis, Cricket, T-ball and Kick ball. The boys thoroughly enjoyed the competition and their first Junior School Friends of Saints sausage sizzle of the year. Thank you to the JSFoS volunteers who barbecued lunch for students and staff. Congratulations to the Junior School students who were involved in the Voices of St Peter’s College concert on Tuesday night. I am incredibly proud of the students, particularly our Year 3s, who performed alongside Year 12 students in an incredible combined choir and orchestra. The final item in the concert program, Close Now Thine Eyes, composed by old scholar Andrew Wells (W&A 1937) was an inspiring and moving reminder of our School’s rich history, its accomplished alumni and how our current students demonstrate beauty and excellence through artistic pursuits.
Winter Uniform
Please remember that boys are required to dress in full winter uniform in Term 2. This includes wearing winter shorts, winter socks, a long sleeve shirt and tie. Boys in Years 3 to 6 need to wear their blazer to and from school.
