On Sunday 19 September over 190 members of our community gathered for the Mission Guild High Tea at the Sanctuary Adelaide Zoo.
It was a wonderful afternoon of food, conversation and laughter as guests came together to celebrate the important work of the Mission Guild and raise money for charity partners, Anglicare SA and St John’s Youth Services.
Guests heard how both organisations are making a difference in their communities and dug deep to raise over $23,000 during the course of the afternoon to support their work. Funds raised will be distributed equally between Anglicare SA and St John’s Youth Services. Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets to the event and supported the live auction, silent auction, wine wall, raffles and lucky square draw.
Anglican values remain a constant fabric of School life. These values are echoed by members of our community who dedicate many hours of service to the School each year. St Peter’s College is deeply grateful for the dedication and generosity of our volunteers and the Mission Guild Committee plays an important role in the School and wider community.
A special thank you to the Mission Guild High Tea Committee members Karina Dorogi, Kirsty Whiteman, Paula Musolino, Madelyn Duckmanton, Jacqui Milne, Patricia Hattingh, Flora Liu and Susie Church for making this year’s High Tea such a success.
Next year the Mission Guild will celebrate 100 years of service with special celebrations planned to marked this milestone occasion.
