AnglicareSA Emergency Assistance
AnglicareSA are looking for volunteers (Years 7 to 12) to help organise their warehouse sorting through donations this coming term break. The Emergency Assist program supports people in South Australia who are experiencing homelessness or cost of living pressures.

Limited spots available. To maximise your impact, please sign up to three days in a row. This activity will take place at the Magdalene Centre from 9.30am – 1.00pm each day (during term break).

The Smith Family ‘Student 2 Student’ Reading program
The Smith Family needs your help supporting their ‘student 2 student’ reading program.
The ‘student 2 student’ program is available to all students from Years 7 to 12. It works by matching SPSC students with younger readers who need help to improve their reading skills.
You’ll need to commit to a minimum of 2 x 20 minutes reading sessions per week, online for 18 weeks.
Dates: There are two options for this year’s program – May 5th to September 12th or May 12th to September 26th.

Lolly Jar Circus
Are you looking for a fun, rewarding way to make a difference? Lolly Jar Circus is an inclusive circus school, is offering an incredible opportunity for Years 10 to 12 students to get involved as volunteers!
Lolly Jar Circus welcomes children and young people of all abilities, including those with disabilities and those at social risk. Through exciting activities like stilt-walking, aerial silks, trapeze, hula hoop, and juggling, participants gain confidence, feel supported, and—most importantly—have an absolute blast!
As a volunteer, you’ll play a key role in helping participants feel comfortable and engaged. You might guide them during warm-up games, encourage them to join in stretches, hold a hand when someone is finding their balance, or simply be an enthusiastic role model—all under the guidance of the professional trainers. Plus, you’ll even get the chance to try some of the circus activities yourself!
Dates and times: Tuesday’s or Wednesday’s from 4:00pm – 6:30pm in North Adelaide.

Joslin Manor Care Community gardening
Interested in gardening? Planting and looking after fruits and vegetables? The residents at Joslin Manor Care Community on Payneham Rd need your help!
Join the keen gardening group after school or on weekends watering, planting and maintenance of the garden. No experience required.

Blue Threads
Blue Threads is an SPSC social enterprise re-selling pre-loved clothing to assist in the funding of the School’s respite care programs including Buddy Up and Sony Camp.
Ms Day is looking for students in Years 7 to 12 to help sort clothing on Mondays at lunchtime and for volunteers to run the Blue Threads stall at Community Day (Saturday 5 April).

Parkrun
Parkrun is a free, community event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate. Parkrun is a 5k event and takes place every Saturday morning. Junior Parkrun is 2k, dedicated to 4-14 year olds and their families, every Sunday morning.
Parkrun at Victoria Park need your help setting up the course, timekeeping, directing and assisting the runners.

SPSC Art Department – Supporting Arts Day
The Art Department are looking for student volunteers to help prepare for Arts Day. Student pairs or groups of three are needed to paint 60 x small canvas boards in black with a roller.
When: 3.30pm – 5.00pm after school on Monday and/or Tuesday in Weeks 9 and 10.

SPSC JS Soccer Referees
We are looking for Soccer players in Years 9 to 12 to volunteer for two hours service each Friday night in Term 2 and 3 to help organise and referee the Year 2/3 six-a-side soccer competition on Girdlestone Oval.
Also seeking Years 11 and 12 students to referee Junior School Soccer games on a Saturday morning when students are not playing themselves.
Email Mr Inman if you would like to volunteer for these service opportunities. Volunteers will need a Working With Children Check – please email Ms Day to arrange this.
