It was wonderful to see so many members of our SPSC Rowing community gather last Friday night to celebrate the christening of the newest additions to our fleet. The energy and enthusiasm in Big Quad were inspiring, reinforcing the strength and spirit of the St Peter’s College Boat Club.
On the night, we had the honour of christening the Don Sarah AM, generously donated by James Sarah (DAC 1982), and the John Brook, made possible through the support of Cam Rungie (DAC 1965). Both boats hit the water on Saturday and made a great start to what promises to be an exciting second half of the season.
These valuable additions to the fleet were made possible through James and Cam’s tax-deductible donations to Project Quick Start, an initiative dedicated to providing our rowers with top-tier equipment through a 15-year fleet renewal cycle. With your support, we can accelerate this process, ensuring both current and future generations benefit from a high-quality rowing program. While James and Cam generously funded entire boats, every contribution plays an important role in bringing this project to life ahead of schedule.
If you’d like to support this initiative and make a lasting impact on SPSC Rowing, you can find out more or make a donation here. Thank you for your continued support of SPSC Rowing. Your commitment is what keeps our rowers striving for excellence.
