Dear Parents and Guardians of Year 8 students

As a school, we take pride in our pastoral care system, and we acknowledge the important role a mentor plays in the life of your son. As such, we are pleased to offer an opportunity to connect with our Year 8 Mentors. This event will complement the regular Parent and Subject Teacher meetings scheduled for next Wednesday 24 May.

In addition to meeting with your son’s mentor, you will have the chance to engage with other members of our Pastoral Care Team, including our Year Level Coordinator, Counsellors, Chaplains, Head of Wellbeing, Director of Sport, and Service Coordinator, as well as connecting with other Year 8 parents.

Year 8 Mentor Morning will:

  • allow an informal meeting between parents and mentors to share observations of each boy’s engagement with classes and co-curricular activities including the Year 8 Camp.
  • provide the chance to discuss communication between home and school.
  • reinforce the important relationship that exists between families and the School.

Event details are as follows:
Date: Friday 9 June (Week 7)
Time: 7.30am to 8.30am
Venue: Da Costa Dining Hall adjacent to the Big Quad (no. 7 on this map).

Friday 9 June is a regular school day. Students are encouraged to attend the Mentor Morning event with you before commencing classes at the normal time of 8.35am.

I hope you can take advantage of this occasion, as together we continue to create a nurturing and supportive environment for your son’s educational journey. If you have any queries in relation to this event, please email events@stpeters.sa.edu.au.

Kind regards
