A Culture of Giving | A Legacy of Impact

In 2025, we proudly mark the 40th anniversary of the St Peter’s College Foundation – a milestone that honours four decades of generosity, vision and shared commitment to our School’s future.

Since 1985, the Foundation has played a vital role in shaping St Peter’s College. It was established in response to the need for a sustainable, long-term approach to philanthropy – a shift prompted by the leadership of then Headmaster Dr Tony Shinkfield and the community’s extraordinary response to the Memorial Hall fire of that same year.

That moment became a turning point: an enduring culture of giving was born, grounded in the belief that the future of St Peter’s College is a responsibility shared by many.

A Community United by Purpose

Over the past 40 years, more than 6,500 donors have contributed over $28 million to enrich every aspect of School life – from scholarships and educational programs to the renewal of learning spaces and facilities across the campus.

Key initiatives supported by the Foundation include:

  • Scholarships that provide access to a St Peter’s College education for boys from diverse backgrounds
  • Signature programs such as the Rex J Lipman Fellows Program and Maths@Saints
  • Major campus projects including the rebuilding of Memorial Hall (1988), Burchnall Sports Centre (2003), Junior School redevelopment (2008), Pentreath Building (2016), and Big Quad redevelopment (2022)

These achievements are a powerful reminder of what’s possible when our community comes together with generosity and purpose.

Looking Ahead: A Future We Shape Together

As we celebrate this 40-year milestone, the Foundation continues to champion a culture of giving that supports renewal across all aspects of school life. In 2025, the Foundation invites our community to help shape the future of St Peter’s College by supporting one or more of three meaningful projects Building the Future Together – St Peters College.

Junior School families may wish to contribute to a new playground 2025 Annual Appeal | Junior School Playground – St Peters College that fosters connection, creativity and active play.

Senior School families may support the transformation of the Burchnall Sports Centre changerooms 2025 Annual Appeal | Burchnall Sports Centre Renewal – St Peters College – vital spaces for sport, wellbeing and camaraderie.

Old scholars may be drawn to the refurbishment of the RT Potter Room in Old School House 2025 Annual Appeal | RT Potter Room Refurbishment – St Peters College, honouring the School’s heritage while preparing it for generations to come.

These renewal projects ensure our spaces reflect the standards of excellence we hold for every boy’s experience. You are welcome to direct your gift to the area most meaningful to you. Every donation – large or small – helps enrich the life of our School, today and into the future.

Esto Perpetua

Founded as a perpetual institution, St Peter’s College is sustained by the enduring support of its community. We thank every donor who has shaped our story over the past 40 years and invite you to be part of the next chapter.
